About Us
UR—Office of Undergraduate Research serves the entire USF community by linking interested, motivated student researchers with experienced faculty mentors.  You do not have to be an Honors student or have a specific major to participate in this process.

In addition, we keep the already vibrant Research Community at USF growing and flourishing by creating experiential learning opportunities for undergraduates in a variety of research areas including our numerous REUs or Research Experiences for Undergraduates. Undergraduate students can therefore learn through inquiry, rather than being passive recipients of facts and concepts. We are so much more than just a match. See Programs above.

About You
If you are an undergraduate ready to get started with research, you’ll want to carefully read the Research Matching Process by clicking the Matching Process tab above. After reading this info, the next step is to create a profile by clicking My-UR Login on any page. Once you've created a profile, you can stay logged in to review our Search page and to bookmark potential mentors by clicking on individual projects.

Then, give us a call (813-974-6824), stop by, or email ur@ur.usf.edu to set a Research Advising appointment with Ms. Carlton. She will give you tips on finding the right mentor for you and things to consider as you begin research. Ms. Carlton may also contact mentors directly on your behalf, especially if you are interested in researching in the field of medicine.

If you are a mentor, please click MY-UR Login on the bottom right to start your profile. Then, please create projects from your faculty homepage, which the students will see on our Search page. If you are under a time crunch and would like students immediately, send Ms. Carlton a short blurb, which we can post in our newsletter. She is also available to meet or speak with you if you'd like assistance creating your profile or listing your project. Please call her directly at 813-974-7994.

If you are an interested high school student, visiting student or guest, you can find more information by clicking the Programs tab above.
